We have a purpose-built clinic in Cardiff, along with a team of committed professionals that is forever growing. That said, we are currently looking for our next passionate team members to join our 2027 Graduate Program.

If you have been considering a role with Happy Dots or wondering what your first 12 months might look like, continue reading below.

Our 12-Month Graduate Program: A Supported Journey from Graduate to Confident Clinician

Month 1: Welcome & Onboard

Settle in, learn, and connect. You’ll receive comprehensive onboarding and clinic orientation, shadow experienced OTs and Speech Pathologists, learn our therapy approach, systems, and resources, and get training in AI tools for notes and reporting. You’ll begin seeing a small number of clients with support, finishing your first month feeling supported, connected, and ready to begin.

Months 2–3: Build Confidence

Grow your skills and knowledge with weekly supervision with your senior OT mentor and/or Speech Pathologist mentor, Clinical Foundations education, monthly trauma-informed supervision with our Psychologist, and ongoing coaching with assessments and reports. You’ll observe and learn from experienced clinicians and gradually increase your caseload. Our goal isn’t to make you busy—it’s to help you become confident.

Months 4–6: Find Your Style

Deepen your knowledge and experience by building stronger clinical reasoning, managing a growing caseload with ongoing support, collaborating with either OTs or Speech Pathologists, developing assessment and report writing skills, and building relationships with schools and families. You’ll continue regular mentoring and supervision—and you’ll start realising, “I’ve actually got this.”

Months 7–9: Grow & Lead

Take on more and lead with confidence. You’ll feel more confident managing your caseload, facilitate a school holiday group, take on more complex clinical reasoning, develop your own therapy style, learn from peer supervision, and continue professional development and mentoring. You’ll still have the same support—you’ll just need it a little less often.

Months 10–12: Confident Clinician

Finish strong and look to the future. You’ll confidently manage your own caseload, deliver high-quality, individualised therapy, reflect on your growth and achievements, set goals for your second year and beyond, and celebrate an incredible first year! Graduation isn’t the finish line—it’s just the beginning.
